I noticed a post today on Ozgrid which asked if it were possible to create a situation where a picture could be added to a cell. It got me thinking perhaps there is a way without the use of VBA. So a bit of research and I happened upon this great technique, adding the picture to a comment. This way your picture will appear as you hover over the cell. There is no VBA required. The following are the steps to take to achieve the task.
Insert comment in cell E3 right click the outer border and choose:
Insert Comment.
Right click on the comment and choose - Format comment
Choose the Colours and Lines tab and choose Fill Effects from the Colour drop down.
Choose picture from the picture tab and Select Picture from the drop down.
Choose a picture from the available menu items.
Click OK once you have chosed your picture. The image is displayed in the Picture box above.
The final product is displayed above.
The procedure is very simple to set up and can create quite a striking effect if done well. The above is the emblem for my football team Carlton.
