Over the past few days I have been upgrading a new dashboard - well re-purposing an old dashboard one that I had been using for a training course for the past 10 years. The model is highly interactive as it has a roll over for the years meaning moving the mouse over the years in the top middle will change the data in the slicer.
The above was the starting image which was the result of an old course of mine. It needed the years updated, the calculation engine updating and the report extended to fill the screen more completely. It seemed like only a little bit of work but ended up taking days not hours. I wanted to get a new dashboard that was striking and visually pleasing.
The above is the completed dashboard. It brings in elements from other Excel dashboards that I have done in the past and incorporates them into the file. It is more complete now and I will include this dashboard on the main page as I quite like the finished product. I will be creating new Excel dashboards and enhancing some of my free dashboards this coming year to expand this already large offering. Hope you are enjoying the boards.
